GENERAL INTRODUCTION TO BEN XE MIEN TAY

Before April 30, 1975, Ben Xe Mien Tay was called the "Xa Cang Mien Tay." After the complete liberation of Southern Vietnam, in July 1975, the Department of Road Transport established an administrative committee and renamed it the Ben Xe Mien Tay, expanding its area to approximately 39,000m².
In 1976, the Department of Road Transport transferred the management of the Ben Xe Mien Tay to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport; accordingly, Ben Xe Mien Tay became a unit under the Western Interprovincial Passenger Transport Company established by the Department of Transport.
On December 3, 1992, according to Decision No. 159/QĐ-UB of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ben Xe Mien Tay was converted into a State-owned enterprise under the management of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Its main business activities were bus station operations and other related services.
On July 11, 1997, under Decision No. 3545/QĐ-UB-KT-CN, Ben Xe Mien Tay became a Public utility enterprise under the Department of Transportation and Public Works.
On July 15, 2004, under Decision No. 172/2004/QĐ-UB, Ben Xe Mien Tay was transferred from the Department of Transportation and Public Works to the Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation, pilot operating under the
Holding company - Subsidiary company model, with an area of 47,392.4m².
On April 8, 2005, under Decision No. 1552/QĐ-UB, Ben Xe Mien Tay was selected by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to be converted into a joint-stock company. On August 31, 2005, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued Decision No. 4552/QĐ-UB on the valuation of the Ben Xe Mien Tay for equitization.
On October 21, 2005, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved the plan and transferred Ben Xe Mien Tay into the Western Bus Station Joint Stock Company under Decision No. 5403/QĐ-UBND.
On May 3, 2006, the Western Bus Station Joint Stock Company officially started operations under Business License No. 4103004698, issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Investment.
On September 17, 2010, the Western Bus Station Joint Stock Company was officially listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

Company's Business Activities:
Operating and managing bus stations, interprovincial and domestic public passenger transportation, and providing services within bus stations; operating interprovincial and domestic tourist passenger transportation; leasing spaces, kiosks, and parking spaces for freight vehicles; storing and forwarding goods, luggage, parcels, and packages; trading in spare parts, automotive supplies, vehicles, gasoline, and oil; car washing, maintenance, and repair services; providing entertainment services and rental accommodations; offering loading and unloading services and overnight parking for transportation vehicles.

Currently, in addition to routes to 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, Ben Xe Mien Tay has expanded routes to other provinces such as Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Gia Lai, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Thai Binh.
