To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the People’s Police implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament (1969 - 2024), congratulate the Ho Chi Minh City Police on receiving the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces during the period of innovation, and commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation - One Member Limited Liability Company (SAMCO), the 12th “Beautiful Vietnam” mural project has been inaugurated.
On the morning of August 13, 2024, the West Coach Station Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Police and SAMCO, held a vibrant inauguration ceremony for the “Beautiful Vietnam” mural at West Coach Station.
The ceremony was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, local authorities, the Ho Chi Minh City Police, SAMCO, and the company, including: Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Party Affairs and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dong Duc Vu - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Member of the Party Executive Committee of Department X03, Head of the Youth Committee of the People’s Police; Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Federation of the City; Major General Tran Duc Tai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department; Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, Deputy Director of the City Police Department; Colonel Le Viet Tiep - Member of the Party Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Department of Party Affairs and Political Affairs of the City Police; Ms. Le Thi My Hanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SAMCO, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Company; and Mr. Dang Nguyen Nguyen Huan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of SAMCO, General Director of the Company.

The mural project was constructed on the front wall of the bus station, measuring 2 meters high, 85 meters long, covering an area of 170 square meters, with a value of over 300,000,000 VND. The mural features scenic landscapes, historical sites, and characteristics of the 13 provinces of the Southwestern region of Vietnam, such as rice fields, lotus flowers, and southern amateur music, which are closely associated with the passengers of West Coach Station.

The inauguration of the 12th "Beautiful Vietnam" mural coincides with the peak celebration period of the 79th anniversary of the People's Police Tradition Day (August 19) and the 19th National Day of All-People Protecting National Security (August 19). Additionally, the project will further enhance the West Coach Station, catering to the large number of passengers traveling during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2.

During the program, the two units also reviewed the two-year implementation of the "Quick Response Team for Security and Order" model at inter-provincial bus stations in the city (2022 - 2024). With ongoing investment and training in legal knowledge, professional skills, and martial arts for the youth members of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, the quick response teams at West Coach Station, Mien Dong Coach Station, New Mien Dong Coach Station, An Suong Bus Station, and Nga Tu Ga Bus Station have been enhanced in quality, becoming more professional and sharp in ensuring security and safety at the bus stations, effectively supporting local police forces, preventing unexpected incidents, stopping crimes, and serving the legitimate needs of the people for travel, trade, business, and tourism. These efforts contribute to building the image of ‘Safe – Civilized – Modern’ bus stations managed by SAMCO and its member enterprises.

To acknowledge the efforts and contributions of the "Quick Response Team for Security and Order" at inter-provincial bus stations in maintaining security and order, curbing crime, and serving the legitimate travel and trade needs of the people, as well as the active participation and support of the lecturers in training and enhancing the security and order skills of these teams, on the occasion of the two-year review, the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Federation presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
